ROOTS Solutions is a worker-owned and worker-managed cooperative formed in Yamhill County, Oregon.

Our bylaws were strongly influenced by, and resemble, Quilted and Arizmendi.
The genesis for establishing ROOTS began with a high level of frustration with both our dysfunctional political, as well as less-than-equitable economic system. In actual fact it started as a reaction to the reality of “when all is said and done, more is said than done”. Solutions, not just identifying problems, are what will get communities moving towards a sustainable future.
It began with just two individuals feeling the same levels of frustration, and after deciding to react to it in a positive manner, were able to not only propose a solution to an existing problem, but actually provided the solution in a period of time and on such low budget that others began to take notice. ROOTS then grew in number and added additional projects and solutions. More were proposed and executed and now ROOTS is formally established to continue along paths to be seen laid out on this web site.
